The Heat Test
Place your hand at the top of the uncovered windshield a half an inch from the glass, at noon time. Feel the heat. Then move your hand under the heat shield attached to the roof. Immediately feel the difference. Your hand is cool. It does not sag. I have a black interior, seats are black too, car is all black, even though they call it stealth gray. In southern California, having an all black car is just wrong. But an extra thousand dollars for a white version that still had a dark glass roof, you get the point. Anyway I waited sixteen days for the sun roof to get to me. It was worth the wait. I can tell you the first sixteen days of driving the car without that shield was not as comfortable as it is now by a long shot. Getting in after it was parked in the sun before I put in the sun shade was truly hot. Even more annoying, it took quite a long while to cool down. Now, I can get in and feel comfortable. Thank you. I bought the light grey colored shade, its nearly white and it looks fine. Fit my 2026 Juniper perfectly. Could come with instructions, but we figured it out without them. It just took a time to figure out where to put in the clips. There are three different clips. The two sided ones go in between the two panels in the middle. The other two types of clips we just guessed at where to install them. But it works so no worries.
