It really did make a difference!
The noise reduction kit actually made a difference, and this is confirmed by my partner who was extremely skeptical when I made the purchase! While we didn't do any scientific before and after tests, we both agree the cabin of our 2022 Model 3 (with 19" sport rims) is a little more quiet than it was before. A win is a win!
